Virtual try-on for eyewear stores

The biggest question when buying glasses online is: “Will this frame suit my face?” With WearDrop, shoppers upload a selfie and see the glasses on their own face without leaving your product page.

Why selling glasses online is hard

  • A product photo can't show how a frame's shape and size will sit on the shopper's face.
  • Shoppers who can't try frames on in a store put off the decision or give up.
  • Frames that turn out not to suit the face come back as returns and exchanges.

How it works

  1. 1

    Click the button

The shopper clicks the WearDrop button next to add-to-cart on your product page.

  2. 2

    Upload a selfie

They choose a photo; on a phone they can also take a selfie on the spot.

  3. 3

    See the glasses on

The AI places the glasses on the shopper's photo within seconds.

What it works with

  • ✓ Sunglasses
  • ✓ Optical frames
  • ✓ Polarised, mirrored and gradient lenses
  • ✓ Sports and fashion eyewear

Not suitable for products that aren't visible on the face, such as contact lenses.

Frequently asked questions

Can the store see the shopper's photo?

No. The photo a shopper uploads and the image created from it are never shown in the store's dashboard; the store only sees how many try-ons each product had. Photos are deleted automatically after 7 days for try-ons without an account and after 90 days for try-ons with an account.

How realistic is the result?

The result is an AI-generated preview, and the image says so clearly. It shows how the product looks on the shopper; colour, texture and size may differ slightly from the real product.

How do we add it to our site?

You add one line of code to your product pages; the WearDrop button appears next to your add-to-cart button, styled to fit your store. It works on any online store where you can add a script to product pages (for example Shopify, WooCommerce and similar platforms). You can try it on your own site with a live preview before installing anything.

We also sell accessories and clothing. Does it work for those too?

Yes. WearDrop detects whether a product is eyewear, an accessory, clothing or shoes, and uses the right AI model for each, with no extra setup.

Try it on your own site

We'll set up a live preview for your store: see how the button works on your product pages without installing anything.
